Golden Gate Bridge Suicide Barrier Project
Historic Resources Evaluation Report
JRP assisted in project compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as it pertains to historical resources, for the environmental studies and preliminary design of a suicide deterrent system on the Golden Gate Bridge. JRP prepared an updated inventory and evaluation of the contributing elements of the bridge, including definition of character-defining features used in the analysis of effects of the proposed project on the historic property. Effects and impacts analysis included recommendations for measures to mitigate potential project effects.
Prepared for Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District, under contract to DMJM Harris-AECOM, 2006-2009.
