Ms. Norby’s experience at JRP encompasses many elements of general historical research and cultural resource management. She has contributed to technical reports and architectural survey and evaluation projects. She has conducted research in primary and secondary source material at public and private repositories in California, and has conducted field recordation of historic resources. Ms. Norby’s abilities also include report production, document management, and graphic illustration.
Ms. Norby received her B.A. in history from the University of California, Davis in 2000, and her M.A. in history from the University of California, Berkeley in 2002. As part of her graduate coursework, she conducted research and wrote an urban, spatial analysis of downtown Pittsburg, California. That project required on site photographic research, as well as research at local repositories. Prior to joining JRP in 2008, Ms. Norby taught United States’ history at community colleges in the San Francisco East Bay and the Sacramento areas.
