Lagunitas Road Bridge Replacement, Town of Ross, Marin County, California
Historic Property Survey Report / Finding of Effect
JRP prepared a Historic Property Survey Report and Finding of Effect for the Lagunitas Road Bridge Replacement Project for the Town of Ross in Marin County, California for Section 106 and CEQA compliance. The Lagunitas Road Bridge is one of five reinforced concrete bridges constructed between 1908 and 1909 that make up Ross Bridges Historic District. All five bridges were designed by master bridge engineer John Leonard and have rectangular window railings and a smooth concrete finish. As the first capital improvements of the newly-established Town of Ross, the five bridges that contribute to the district’s significance provided an important link between the town and other adjacent communities.
Prepared with URS Corporation for Town of Ross, 2007-2009.
